Ingredients

Almonds, crushed
Almond essence
Caster sugar
Icing sugar
Egg
Orange rind
Cinnamon powder
Clove powder
Filo pastry
Butter, melted
Honey
Double cream

Preparation

  1. Mix almonds, caster and icing sugar, egg white, orange rind, cinnamon and clove in food processor.
  2. Preheat oven. Grease a round pan. Put butter paper.
  3. Brush filo sheet with melted butter, top with few more sheets using the same process.
  4. Halve the sheet in lengthwise.
  5. Put the almond mixture on the sheet and roll it to cylinder form.
  6. Arrange in the round pan.
  7. Brush it with melted butter and bake in the oven, till crispy and golden brown color.
  8. Dust with cinnamon and icing sugar. Serve with cream and honey.
