Doors & Planter Pots

TRADITIONAL DOOR

Large traditional Arabic style doors will be used at the external entrance to flank the route in from street level or the hotel and create a dramatic arrival experience as you enter into the vestibule space (fig. a). Refer to External Approach Plan and Perspective Elevation for visual reference (section 5.1.1 and 5.1.2)

Where possible old reclaimed local doors should be sourced, that may have detailing from the surrounding region

Chunky dark timber is preferable with metal work detailing

The doors are not required to be weather tight but must be able to be secured when the restaurant is closed

The doors will be pinned open during the dinner service

PLANTER POTS

Placed either side of the traditional entrance doors will be large contemporary planter pots to the exterior space (fig. b). Refer to External Approach Plan and Perspective Elevation for visual reference (section 5.1.1 and 5.1.2)

Fig. b indicates the following specification: “Vases” by Vondom, white finish

2 no. small - DIA 550mm H 450mm 1 no. large - DIA 650mm H 1000mm

Fairy lights within plants to create evening ambience

Care to be taken to disguise lights within planting, and hide all cables

Plants must be of a suitable outdoor variety for the specific region, advise from a landscape gardener or hotel operator may be required
